- Bell Media has the Canadian TV rights: TSN, CTV and CTV2 in English, RDS and RDS2 in French.
- DAZN streams every regular-season and playoff game, with NFL RedZone, through NFL Game Pass.
- An antenna gets CTV for free: a regional Sunday game most weeks, many night games and the Super Bowl.
- Prime Video’s Thursday games and NFL Sunday Ticket are sold for US viewers; in Canada those games are on TSN, CTV and DAZN.
- Super Bowl LXI is on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium.
The 2026 regular season opened on Wednesday, September 9 and ends with Week 18 on January 9 and 10, 2027. Super Bowl LXI is on February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
Who has the NFL in Canada in 2026?
TSN calls itself the NFL’s exclusive Canadian broadcast partner, and its 2026 schedule lists every game window on TSN1 to TSN5, CTV, CTV2, RDS or RDS2. Global, Citytv and CBC have no NFL games, so they won’t help on Sunday.
Here are the four ways in:
- TSN (cable, satellite or the TSN app). Carries the national night games and a share of Sunday afternoon games. TSN sells a direct streaming plan, TSN Standard, at $24.99 a month.
- TSN Premium. A $29.99-a-month tier in the TSN app that adds NFL RedZone and 24 extra NFL games. Those extra games include most of the International Series and the Peyton and Eli “ManningCast” versions of Monday Night Football.
- CTV and CTV2. Regional Sunday games and many national games. CTV is free over the air in the markets it broadcasts to.
- DAZN. NFL Game Pass comes with a DAZN subscription in Canada. DAZN lists every regular-season and playoff game plus NFL RedZone. Its Canadian page shows the Standard plan at $24.99 a month on a 12-month term. Check DAZN for current terms before you sign up, because its plans change from season to season.
Game window → Canadian channel → streaming option
All times are Eastern. Networks change week to week, and TSN updates its broadcast schedule page as games are confirmed, so treat this as the usual pattern.
| Game window | Canadian TV channel | Streaming option |
|---|---|---|
| Thursday Night Football, 8:15 pm | TSN, plus CTV or CTV2 depending on the week; some weeks also RDS2 | TSN app with a TSN subscription; DAZN |
| Sunday early games, 1 pm | Regional CTV and CTV2 feeds, TSN1 or TSN3, and RDS for one game | TSN app; DAZN; some games are TSN Premium only |
| Sunday late games, around 4 pm | CTV and RDS for the main game, TSN1 or TSN3 for another | TSN app; DAZN |
| Sunday Night Football, 8:15 to 8:20 pm | TSN with CTV; RDS in French | TSN app; DAZN |
| Monday Night Football, 8:15 pm | TSN, sometimes with CTV2; RDS2 in some weeks | TSN app; ManningCast on TSN Premium; DAZN |
| International Series, Sunday 9:30 am (London, Paris, Madrid, Munich) | English on TSN Premium only; RDS has carried at least one in French | TSN Premium; DAZN |
| Thanksgiving (Nov. 26) and Christmas Day (Dec. 25) | TSN Network with CTV or CTV2 | TSN app; DAZN |
| Playoffs | TSN and CTV; RDS in French | TSN app; DAZN |
| Super Bowl LXI (Feb. 14, 2027) | Bell Media networks (Super Bowl LX aired on TSN, CTV and RDS) | Last year live on Crave via the CTV channel; DAZN |
In Week 6, for example, TSN listed Carolina at Philadelphia on CTV in Toronto, BC, Alberta and Winnipeg, while viewers in Montreal, Ottawa and Atlantic Canada got Jets at Patriots on their CTV station. The 1 pm game you get on CTV depends on where you live.
Can you watch the NFL in Canada for free?
Yes, within limits. The free route is an antenna.
- CTV is an over-the-air network. With an indoor or rooftop antenna you get CTV’s regional Sunday game and the national games CTV simulcasts with TSN, including many Sunday Night Football games, the Thanksgiving night game and the Christmas Day games. In some cities, CTV2 also broadcasts over the air and picks up a second Sunday game.
- If you live near the US border, the same antenna may also pull in American network stations. Reception depends on distance and terrain, so check a reception map for your address before buying a big antenna.
- Basic cable is the cheapest paid fallback. The CRTC caps the basic TV package at $25 a month (equipment extra), and that package must include local and regional stations, so CTV is in it. TSN is not.
What you can’t get for free: TSN, RDS, RedZone or a choice of game. Free TV means CTV’s pick for your region.
How to watch the NFL in Canada without cable
Without cable you have three choices, and they stack:
- DAZN for every game, on demand and live, if you want to pick any matchup.
- The TSN app with a direct TSN plan for the national windows and TSN’s Sunday games, or TSN Premium for RedZone and the extra games.
- An antenna for CTV.
An IPTV subscription is a fourth route. It brings the TV channels themselves (TSN, RDS and the rest) to a streaming device, which is covered further down.
Is Thursday Night Football on Prime Video in Canada?
Amazon’s 2026 schedule page says viewers in the US can watch Thursday Night Football on Prime Video, and Prime Video has 17 NFL games this year. It says nothing about Canada. In Canada, every Thursday game is on TSN, usually with CTV or CTV2, and it’s on DAZN. The same goes for the Black Friday game on November 27 (Broncos at Steelers), which TSN lists on TSN Network and CTV.
Can you get NFL Sunday Ticket in Canada?
No. YouTube’s help page says NFL Sunday Ticket is available in the United States and some US territories (American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands). The Canadian equivalent for out-of-market Sunday games is NFL Game Pass on DAZN, which carries every game rather than just Sunday afternoons.
Where to watch Super Bowl LXI in Canada
Super Bowl LXI is on Sunday, February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium. Bell Media holds the Canadian rights. For Super Bowl LX in February 2026, Bell aired the game on TSN, CTV and RDS and streamed the live CTV channel on Crave. Bell says 6.8 million viewers watched LX on its platforms. Expect the same set-up for LXI. Bell usually confirms the details in a press release the week of the game.
Because CTV carries it, the Super Bowl is free over the air in every market with a CTV transmitter.
Why Canadians see Canadian Super Bowl ads
When a Canadian station and an American station air the same program at the same time, cable and satellite companies substitute the Canadian signal over the American one. This is called simultaneous substitution, or simsub. So on cable, the Super Bowl on the American channel shows CTV’s feed with Canadian commercials.
The CRTC tried to end simsub for the Super Bowl starting in 2017. Bell and the NFL challenged that order, and on December 19, 2019, the Supreme Court of Canada quashed it (Bell Canada v. Canada (Attorney General), 2019 SCC 66). Canada then committed in the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) to keep simsub for the Super Bowl. The American ads still run in the US broadcast; on Canadian cable and satellite, the Canadian ad breaks replace them.
Watching the NFL in French
RDS and RDS2 carry French coverage through the regular season, the playoffs and the Super Bowl. In Week 6, RDS had the London game on Sunday morning, an early game, a late game and Sunday Night Football, while RDS2 had the Thursday and Monday games. If an English game you want isn’t on RDS, there’s no French option for it on TV.
How the NFL fits into an IPTV subscription

On IPTV, these channels are in the sports group. Our IPTV Canada service carries TSN 1 to 5, RDS, RDS 2 and RDS Info, plus NFL Network, NFL RedZone and the US network feeds, so the TSN and RDS rows of the table above work exactly as they do on cable: tune to the channel listed for your game. The regional CTV feeds (Toronto, Ottawa, Montréal, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Atlantic and more) are in the channel list, so you can pick the city whose Sunday 1 pm game you want, since that game changes from region to region. CTV2 is not a separate channel in the line-up; when a game is on CTV2 only, use the TSN or US network feed of the same game.
A few settings make Sunday easier:
- Turn on the programme guide and set its time zone to your own. If listings run an hour off, the EPG guide shows how to fix the offset.
- Use catch-up. On supported channels you can go back up to 7 days, which helps when the early and late games overlap with something else.
- Wire the device to your router if you can. Live sport is the first thing to stutter on weak Wi-Fi, and the buffering fix guide covers the other usual causes.
- Add TSN1, TSN3, TSN4, RDS and RDS2 to your favourites. Most Sunday and night games land on one of them.
Plans start at $18 for one month on one device, tax included, with no auto-renewal. The two- to four-device plans are on the pricing page. The simplest test is a real Sunday: start the 24-hour free trial on a game day and check the 1 pm and 4 pm games on your own connection.
What IPTV won’t cover
Some NFL content isn’t a TV channel, so it won’t appear in any channel guide:
- The 24 extra games in TSN Premium, which include the English feeds of most International Series games and the Week 1 Ravens at Colts game.
- The ManningCast and other alternate broadcasts that TSN lists as TSN Premium.
- DAZN’s on-demand archive, condensed games and multi-game view.
If one of those is the game you care about, a TSN Premium or DAZN subscription is the way to watch it.
